the District of Straits-White Bay North |

I rise in this hon. House today to
acknowledge the Noddy Bay, Straitsview, Hay Cove and
L’Anse aux Meadows Volunteer Fire Department who
recently celebrated twenty years of service. This fire
department has fourteen active firefighters, eight of
whom are under the age of thirty years. They are
individuals who volunteer their time and their lives to
ensure the safety of the residents within their
communities. Mr. Speaker, I applaud this fire
department for its outstanding contribution to their
towns, and I ask all members of this House today to join
with me in congratulating these individuals and to
extend them best wishes for their future.
