Mr. Speaker, I rise in this hon. House
today to congratulate Kayla Carroll, a resident of St.
Lunaire-Griquet who was one of the eight recipients
awarded with an inaugural URock Volunteer Award on April
24. This award recognizes the outstanding work done by
young volunteers and organizations with a connection to
young people. Ms Carroll is well known in my district
for her volunteer efforts and is a fine example to the
youth in our Province that volunteer work is not only
rewarding but also essential to non-profit
organizations.
Mr. Speaker, I ask all members of this House to join
with me in congratulating Kayla on this achievement and
wish her well in her future endeavours.
