Petitions to the House of Assembly

A general petition is a document that identifies a specific concern.  They are requests for the House of Assembly to consider certain issues or to consider taking action in certain areas.  Any person or organization may prepare petitions and it is their responsibility to arrange for a Member of the House of Assembly to present it on their behalf.

A petition must contain original signatures written directly on the face of the petition or accompanying signature pages.

Petitions to the House can be presented by any member of the House of Assembly. At least 3 signatures must appear on the page containing the prayer format and any number of additional signatures may follow. Use either of the following links to access the petition prayer format.
